Students as Change Agents: Social Movements Today

A long time scholar-activist, Dr. Rose M. Breweris a sociologist and Morse Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professor of African American & African Studies at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She writes extensively on gender, race, class and social change, publishing over 50 articles, book chapters and essays.

She is a co-lead of the political and popular education working group of Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, and was actively involved in organizing the 2010 United States Social Forum in Detroit, Michigan. She recently returned from the World Social Forum in Senegal as a member of the USSF/poverty working group delegation.
