About Dr. Kenneth C. Edelin Dr. Kenneth C. Edelin is the author of Broken Justice: A True Story of Race, Sex and Revenge in a Boston Courtroom. In 1974, Dr. Edelin was three months away
from completing his residency when he was indicted on a charge of manslaughter by a secret grand jury. The indictment—sought by an overzealous, anti-choice prosecutor—concerned a
legal abortion that Dr. Edelin had performed.

Since then, Dr. Edelin has devoted his life to advocating for reproductive freedom and social justice. He serves as a
modern day role model for heroic action in defense of women’s rights and civil rights.
